UFC 2010 Undisputed is a Knockout! Tough hard-nosed MMA Action at its finest.
Last year THQ bet the farm on UFC Undisputed
2009 and their gamble paid off. Gamers’ bought
what they
were selling. Although, there were
a few issues with the ground game and with
the grappling interface.
This year the MMA game is new and improved
and for the time being is the only mixed
martial arts video game that allows UFC fans
to step
into the Octagon with 100 of the UFC’s
best fighters.
The combat is intuitive and the ground game
is improved. UFC Undisputed 2010 is a knockout
for a number of reasons.
Each of the UFC fighters is fully rendered
and the in-game graphics are photo-realistic.
The fighter’s signature moves have
been captured and the ambience of a real
UFC event
has been captured as veteran UFC announcer
Bruce Buffer, along with the commentary team
of Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg are part of
the package.
The combat is decent, but sluggish at times.
A new sway system and head movement allow gamers
to dodge attacks. A new poster system allows
fighters to strike hard from any position.
Players can choose from a variety of moves
from a number of MMA disciplines including
Sambo Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling.
Go for the title or defend the title, fight
through the UFC’s five different weight-classes
and go for the belt in the Title Mode.
An all-new tournament mode allows for up
to 16 player individual and team tournaments. If
you’re a UFC fan, you will get your
money’s worth and much more with this
well put together THQ UFC offering.
